Quick update

I'm looking for a few stories to review for May, but since Dead Reckoning was released today and I'm pretty excited about it, I'm going to celebrate with an overall review of the Sookie Stackhouse mysteries so far.

In other news, I just got a twitter account and I can be followed at @Benthebook

Espe enjoys the naughty games of hide-and-seek she plays with Greg. Not only does he satisfy her kink for having sex in public places along the Las Vegas Strip, but he also is a no-strings attached lover. Vampire hunters are strictly forbidden from forming serious relationships, so when Greg asks for something more, she's not sure if she can break his heart, especially since the thought has crossed her mind more than she cares to admit. Before she can give him an answer, their liaison is interrupted by a vampire, and Espe is forced to choose between her dreams and her desires.

This is a short story that takes place between books 1 and 3 of the Kavanaugh Foundation series.

A guide to reviews

I try to review as fairly as possible, I will say what I like about a book and what I dislike, just because I dislike something though, doesn't mean it's bad.  Everything is down to personal taste and I try to be as fair as possible.

Review layout:

Author:  A brief author bio and a link to the author's website.

Blurb:  A brief description of the book.

Review:  The review of the book itself.

Star rating.

I will give a book a star rating as many other review sites, such as Amazon have them and so have tried to base my star rating on their system.

1 star * I strongly dislike this book, it has serious flaws.

2 stars ** I dislike this book, it has strong flaws, but it has some positive qualities.

3 stars ***  This is a decent book, although some may really enjoy it, it would have noticeable flaws, these may be with the plot or characters or editing, for example, but it should be evident from the review.

4 stars ****  This is a good book, I recommend it.

5 stars *****  I love it, if the description and genre appeals to you, you should buy it.

Submission Guidelines

Ignore all this, I'm probably not going to be reviewing books for a while

Please read these thoroughly before submitting a book to be reviewed.

1.  Fiction books of any genre are accepted, for non fiction please send an inquiry email to see if it is something that I will be able to honestly review.

2.  All reviews are final, but my isn't the only opinion on the internet.  I actively encourage you to get as many opinions as possible.

3.  Electronic submissions are preferable via email attachment, .DOC, .PDF, .RTF or a smashwords coupon code.  Gifting via amazon is also acceptable.  If you wish to send a physical copy, rather than submitting electronically, then it must be gifted via amazon, but electronic submission is preferred.

4.  Please ensure that the version submitted is the final version of your book.

5.  I only accept submissions from the author, publisher or a representative of the author, at my own disrection I may review books which have not been submitted.

6.  Authors understand that upon submission for review, they are giving permission for me to quote small excerpts from their book.

7.  Along with your submission, please include the following information, a link to the author's website, a brief author bio and links to where the book is available to buy.

All inquiries and submissions should be sent to Benthebook (at) gmail (dot) com
